Today we are releasing our biggest Gift Bag yet, The Four Relics of Rivellon!
As always, it’s delivered directly to your version of DOS2 and at no extra cost, via an update released alongside this text!
In The Four Relics of Rivellon, you’ll embark upon new quests in search of four ancient armour sets imbued with magical properties. You’ll face new foes, fight brand new fights, and even take on an entirely new Undead Dragon boss. Discover new lore, new loot, and new narration on the hunt for distant relics.
What you see of course depends on the choices you make during your adventure. Be sure to check out the trailer!

The four sets of armour are:
Captain Armour
A set of armour that can dominate the minds of those around you. Each piece also boosts Lucky Charm, Persuasion and Bartering.
Vulture Armour
A light set of armour based off of dwarven rituals. Each part of the set enhances range and damage dealt from higher ground, while the complete set gives the wearer a pair of permanent, vulture-like wings.
Contamination Armour
An ancient set of armour created from magic thought lost long ago. Each piece offers resistance to poison, while the entire set grants immunity to poison along with a special ability to spawn exploding spores that will damage enemies in combat.
Devourer Armour
A set of armour said to make its wearer almost invincible. In combat, the armour will mark a certain target in range. Any attacks on this target cannot miss and will deal extra damage.
The new content will be available in any new game you start and does not affect your achievements.

Hey Everyone,
Today we have released our latest Gift Bag: Sourceror Secrets. This new content has been added to your game absolutely free and is filled with new features - including the ability to use your bedroll to restore Source Points and the inclusion of new talents to pick from when you create or respec your character.
The contents of each Gift Bag are accessible via the in-game menu where you can independently enable or disable each individual feature. And all of these new features are compatible with all prior Gift Bags (Beauty Salon, Song Of Nature and Order & Magic.)
Gift Bag 4 includes:
- From The Ashes
Party members automatically resurrect when using the bedroll out of combat.
- Source Meditation
Source Points are restored when using the bedroll.
- Divine Talents
Adds several new talents to pick from during Character Creation or Character Respec.
- Spirit Vision
Spirit Vision lasts forever and has a larger range.
Please note that once enabled, these features will roll over to your saves on PC, or vice versa on Switch if you have cloud save transfers enabled.

Gift Bag 3 includes:
- Pet Power
Pet Power greatly enhances the summoning class and its infusion spells. With this feature, you can cast infusion spells on all available summons, not just your own Incarnate. Each summons receives different skills depending on the base elemental infusion type.
- Combat Randomizer
When entering combat, one or more random enemies will receive one of the new special statuses created specially for this feature. Think you know how a particular fight is going to go down? Not any more! This will change everything you thought you knew about combat, with each battle presenting a fresh new challenge.
- Nine Lives (Black Cat+)
Transforms the Black Cat into a follower. Once rescued, a whistle will appear in your inventory. You can use this if your cat gets lost or if you want to change who it follows.
- Improved Organisation
Find a collection of special bags that allow you to better (and automatically) organise your inventory.
- Sourcerous Sundries
In each major hub, you can now find a mysterious vendor selling exotic and potent artifacts. These artifacts can upgrade a character’s gear with immense power, bringing them up to the players' current level.
- Hagglers
Tired of forgetting to switch to your 'haggling' character when talking to traders? Now the reputation and skill of your whole party can help you wrangle the best prices!

Update 3.6.48.3268b (04 September 2019)
We have two pieces of exciting news to talk about today.
First, today marks the release of a new Gift Bag: Song of Nature. There are thousands of mods out there but some have proven to be quite popular within our team and we decided to turn them into game features. Full credit for this goes to each and every mod-maker we reached out to for this to come to light. We've tried to do their ideas justice by fully integrating them into the game and developing them further. There is now a special entry in the in-game menu from which you can access all these features and the list will be extended with future Gift Bags, with original content to come.
Secondly, we have some massive news for you. If you happen to own a Nintendo Switch, then you’ll be able to take all your hundreds of hours of gameplay on the go from today. Divinity: Original Sin 2 has just been released on the Nintendo E-Shop, and it comes not only with all of the Gift Bags you’ve enjoyed on Steam, but also cross-save progression between the Switch and Steam.
It works pretty simply: once you buy DOS2 from the E-Shop and load up the game, you’ll be asked if you want to link to Steam. If you choose to, it’ll automatically grab your saves from the elusive and impenetrable Steam cloud (you’ll see how we managed this next week), and your save will be playable on the Switch. It works vice-versa, too. Finished with a game? It’ll upload the save back into the cloud. You’ll need to be connected to the internet as well as Nintendo’s online service, but you’ll need that anyway if you’re venturing into four player coop on the Switch (which is totally possible!)
We’re extremely proud to be able to bring this to the players in cooperation with Nintendo and Valve who helped us plug everything together.

Gift Bag 2 features
- Crafter's Kit
Plenty of new recipes and unique items to craft!
- Endless Runner
Find a new icon in your Hotbar which you can use to toggle sprint on and off. Sprint increases your movement speed of your party and the movement speed of your followers.
- Animal Empathy
Allows all player characters to talk to animals without having to spend a talent point. Also Changes Pet Pal talent to grant maximum positive attitude in all conversations with animals.
- Fort Joy Magic Mirror
Manifests a Magic Mirror in the Arena of Fort Joy, along with a new Character Creation level. This allows you to respec before moving on to the next act of the game.
- 8 Action Points
Increases the base maximum Action Points of hero characters to 8.
- Herb Gardens
Plant your own herb garden! Take any herb and combine it with a bucket to create a seedling. Then just place your seedling in the ground and watch it grow.

The latest update for Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition is now live!
If you've been looking for new ways to create Static Cloud Arrows, Explosive Arrows, or grant immunity to Madness we have you covered with new recipes in this update. It's easier to be Sir Lora's shield now that he's ignored by Shriekers and your battles will be easier to navigate thanks to notifications in combat being moved up. We've also addressed issues with the combat log.

- More than 15 items in the barter window are now allowed when using a controller
- The correct DOS2 edition launches automatically when receiving a multiplayer invite instead of having to manually select it in the launcher
- Moved notifications to allow better visibility during combat
- Party members now run through non-damaging surfaces like oil and ice automatically
- Dimensional bolt now correctly heals undead when rolling poison damage
- Lohse can no longer bypass the Doctor’s possession by wearing an Immune to Charmed item
- Summons no longer teleport together with their masters in Arena Mode

- Fixed issues with automatically unlocking the third Source Point under certain conditions. Unfortunately, this fix is not retroactive. Savegames that already have the third Source Point unlocked should be able to progress without issues, and the unlocked Source Point will not be removed by this fix.

We're releasing a hotfix following our larger patch from last week. Some issues slipped through our net and we would like to address these with today's hotfix.
Crashing while saving in multiplayer should now be fixed and we've disabled the overhead interface that was causing visibility issues of other information on the screen.

Greetings all!
Thanks to the support and feedback from you our players, the latest patch comes chock full of fixes and updates. So, hats off to you, community. (Unless it’s a bicorne hat, in which case we may keep it firmly on our heads. Those tend to get lost.)
One feature many of you requested was the ability to turn off the automatic addition of skills or items to the hotbar. Another feature that might make life a little easier for you: having Lucky Charm on one character now applies that talent to the whole party. And lockpicks and trap disarm kits are now shared automatically via Magic Pockets!
Along with the many bug-fixes we’ve made improvements all across the game, including to the UI and to Game Master Mode. We’ve also made changes that will increase compatibility with mods. You’ll find the full list below. (Some of the fixes apply to story so beware, here lieth spoilers.)

Modding - Scripting (compatibility issues)
- Game modes (Story/GM/Arena) are now compatible. Mods can safely load both GM and Story data without causing issues such as disabled characters in a new Story game. All story goals are now parented under a respective Story/GM/Arena goal (DOS2ModWrapper/GMModWrapper/ArenaModWrapper). Existing mods will still work, but to make your mod compatible between game modes, make sure to parent any modded goals under the newly added root goals (DOS2ModWrapper/GMModWrapper/ArenaModWrapper).
- Added new GetStatusTurns query to story and script: returns the lifetime in turns of a given status on an object.
- Added new GetSurfaceSize query to story and script: returns the surface size in tiles of a surface at a given position.

- Hi everyone,
- Unfortunately, we introduced new issues with our big patch from last week. Thanks to feedback via our support channel and forums, we were able to track down and fix the following problems:
- When the host or client had the Elemental Affinity talent, and the host was standing in a surface, the client's skillbars would be empty after loading a savegame
After updating the stats of the Hanal Lechet Axe, some players reported it disappearing completely, instead of returning to the inventory as intended. This was due to an error in updating stats on off-hand slot weapons. This is now fixed, but unfortunately, this does not return the axe automatically.

After a few hotfixes, we’re happy to announce the first patch for Divinity: Original Sin 2. The focus of this patch has been fixing the issues we’ve seen pop up. Existing savegames will work with this patch.
There will be a further update later today featuring improved German, French, and Russian translations, as well as a series of improvements for the game’s different endings.

We noticed a couple things that slipped through the net when releasing our latest patch. Since they were easy to fix and won’t affect your savegames, we didn’t want to delay these fixes until the next patch. So behold, a hotfix!

- Fixed outlines of characters after they were transformed to any other state
- Fixed equipment being invisible for characters that were out of sight
- Fixed armor potions and statuses like Fortified and Magic Shell giving less armor than they should

Behold one of our most exciting updates so far!
First and foremost: We have a release date! September 14th 2017 is the date on which all the content and features of Divinity: Original Sin 2 will be unleashed upon the world.
We’re hard at work finishing the game, so our patch release rate may become slower. But rest assured, it’s because we’re putting all of our resources in making Divinity: Original Sin 2 as awesome as we can. That doesn’t mean we won’t be releasing new stuff, of course! We know you’ve all been eager to progress your adventure, and with this patch we’ve added… A LOT.
Two new areas will provide a huge narrative bang. You’ll help our heroes crash land in Fort Joy and explore the next stage in their journey after they escape. Players with a profound fear of giant aquatic monstrosities, be warned!
We’ve also added relationship dialogues with companions, meaning you’ll be able to poke around in Red Prince, Sebille, Lohse, and Ifan’s heads like never before. But beware: You may not always like what you find.
Character Creation and crafting have also undergone a serious transformation. Together with the fact that you can now manage the formation of your party in a brand new interface, you’ll have plenty to try out.
You may have heard rumours of our mysterious fifth origin story - a sea-faring dwarf known only as ‘Beast’. With this update, you’ll get to meet (but not recruit) him for the first time.

Hotfix v3.0.52.425 - The dead walk no more
New features, while exciting, sometimes come with adorable little bugs in tow. In the event that a few slip through our virtual net, we try to squash them as quickly as possible. This hotfix fixes the following problems:
- Corpses standing up after playing for over one hour
- Doors being open visually, while they were actually closed
- Being able to share skills via character portrait
- Corrupt textures on certain characters in the character creation screen

- Pickup action now gets disabled in combat if you do not have enough AP
- You can now use sucker punch when wielding only one wand
- Applying Bless to an item on a surface now blesses that surface
- Reduced requirements on armor, weapons, and shields
- Made it easier to Pickpocket low level NPCs by changing the Thievery mechanics
- Characters will no longer absorb Source surfaces when they already have their maximum number of Source Points

- Muted should not prevent characters from using weapon skills
- The most used generic treasure tables have been completely redesigned. They now generate more by value than by category.
- When a container is opened and it generates items, the order in which they appear is randomized. This is purely a representative change.

- Fixed an issue with the Necromancer Tower Maze. Players no longer have re-equip the ring to trigger the correct dialog options

Hotfix v3.0.33.118 (10 February 2017)

We're taking Games in Development as an opportunity to try out new things, but at the same time we obviously don't want to frustrate our community when it comes to general balancing, which is why we are releasing this hotfix. We want to fix the most pressing issues - specifically the economy, the longevity of certain surfaces and the removal of some control spells from the early enemies.
Balancing and design changes:
- Prices for skillbooks have been lowered
- Some early-level containers now have a higher chance to contain armor
- Electrified surfaces and ice surfaces should disappear after 3 turns
- Enemies now have a small chance of dropping a gem or other precious item
- AI does not use sucker punch at the early levels of the game anymore
- Some traders in Fort Joy will now offer more cloth armor
Bug Fixes :
- Fixed an issue with general story progression
- Fixed a crash introduced in patch 3.0.31.292. Was caught by players using feedback tool. Related to committing a crime.

Improvements
- AI 2.0. Integrated new AI system for all enemies
- AI has received a big overhaul. In general it should be a lot smarter and have more awareness of its surroundings. This means that the AI might have gotten a bit more difficult to deal with, so don't underestimate your enemies and especially watch your positioning! Your enemies will make better use of barrels, surfaces, and combat control skills, and they’ll have better knowledge of the consequences of casting particular skills. - Planning ahead is now more important than ever.
- Loot system overhaul
- Find less gear in random loot, but more gold and valuables. The idea is to get economy going and make trade more important. Uniquely hand-placed items and boss loot should feel more rewarding and rare.

Our second patch is jam-packed with improvements and fixes to Divinity: Original Sin 2. So many, in fact, that your game would be seriously broken if you just started off back where you last saved. This means your saved games will be incompatible with this patch. But if you were in the middle of a playthrough and want to continue on to the end, then just follow the instructions below. You won’t have the latest improvements, but you will be able to pick up where you left off.

Balancing and design changes
Primary Attributes overhaul
- Strength now provides 5% damage bonus and 2% Physical Armour bonus per point
- Finesse now provides 5% damage bonus and 1% Dodging per point
- Intelligence now provides 5% damage bonus and 2% Magic Armour bonus per point
- Characters now have a base amount of vitality that grows with levels
- Constitution now provides 7% vitality bonus
- Characters now start with 3 Memory Slots and receive 1 free Memory Slot every 2 levels
- Memory attribute now provides 1 Memory Slot per point
- Wits now provides 1% Critical Chance and 1 Initiative per point
- Vitality, armour and damage numbers start from lower values, but grow faster each level
Changes to combat abilities
- Combat abilities now give larger bonuses per point and are capped at 10 points.
- Previous Defence abilities were removed.
- New Defence ability: Pain Reflection. Allows you to reflect 10% of incoming damage back onto attackers per point
- Leadership is now a combat ability in Defence category. Allies in 5m range receive 5% Dodging and 5% All Res per point
Changes to talents
- Re-enabled Elemental Affinity talent (Reduces AP cost of skills when standing in surface of corresponding element. Does not apply to skills with AP cost smaller or equal to 1)
- Added new memory talent: Mnemonic. (adds 3 Memory)
- Changed human talent to give bartering instead of leadership
Changes to weapons
- Earth wands were replaced with Poison wands that receive bonus damage from Geomancer ability.
- Buffed armor on shields
- Gave shields a free skill that recovers their armor
- Gave two-handed melee weapons a free skill that unlocks a heavy attack that costs 3AP
- Receive a free skill when dual-wielding melee weapons, which unlocks a heavy attack that costs 3AP
- Free skill for fighting with single melee weapon and empty offhand: 1AP attack that Knocks Down
- Attacking with single-handed weapon now costs 2AP (with or without shield)
- When dual-wielding, damage of the offhand weapon is halved.
- Added free movement if you move less than one meter before attacking
- Weapon attacks receive swoosh effects depending on main combat ability
- Inquisitor preset now wields a staff and starts with melee skills. (N.B. using Crippling Blow while wielding a staff will use the base elemental damage of the staff and receive bonus from INT since staff is and INT weapon).
- Witch and Wizard start with wands
- Replaced Sawtooth Knife with Vault in the list of starting Scoundrel skills to increase early game mobility.
- Ranger now has Haste instead of Piercing Shot as starting skill
Misc
- Increased difficulty for fights level 4 and above. Humanoid enemies now have new skills and engage in combat more aggressively
- Fixed several issues with AI of ranged enemies
- Targeted source skills can never miss (e.g. Mortal Blow)
- Enemy Rage now lasts two turns
